Pennsylvania Requires Direct Shippers to File a Shipment Report with the PLCB
June 19, 2017
By Kristin Carlton, Vice President of Compliance
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is now requiring that direct shippers submit quarterly reports detailing all wine shipped into the state. This report is separate from the excise and sales tax returns that are submitted quarterly to the Department of Revenue.
This report must be filed on the PLCB+ by the last day of the month following the quarter and will have two sections:
1) Sales by Product Report which will report size, units sold and total sales per Product/SKU
2) Sales by Zip Code which will report units sold and total sales per Zip Code
Next month, in addition to the 2nd quarter (April-June), direct shippers need to file for all quarters dating back to July 2016. These reports must be filed by July 31st, 2017 and are listed below for your convenience. Failure to file these returns and all future returns will result in rejection of your direct shipper license renewal.
• July-September 2016
• October-December 2016
• January- March 2017
• April-June 2017
We expect to have this return in eCompli by 7/1/2017 along with instructions on how to file electronically. If you have any questions, please contact eCompli Support at firstname.lastname@example.org.
