Announcing the 2018 Wine Compliance Workshops

September 25, 2018

2018 Wine Compliance Workshops
Presented by Compli, Wine Institute, and FedEx

The fall harvest and fourth quarter snuck up on us and it’s already time to start thinking about 2019. To begin preparations, we invite you to join us at one of our upcoming compliance workshops.

We’re partnering with Wine Institute and FedEx to host the 2018 Wine Compliance Workshop series. This is an educational tour at five locations across the great state of California.

Oct. 16 Lodi (Register Now)
Oct. 17 Sierra Foothills (Register Now)
Nov. 1 Temecula (Register Now)
Nov. 8 Napa (Register Now)
Dec. 5 Monterey (Stay tuned)

In order to continue the trend of favorable legislation and regulation that allows more wineries to ship to a broader range of consumers, it’s really important that we collectively focus on compliance and following the rules that are currently in place. Those rules continue to change and we’ve seen some major developments already in 2018. At these compliance workshops, we’ll provide a comprehensive regulatory review and will discuss how you can protect your business as you plan for 2019.

Highlighted topics include:

The newest DTC state—Oklahoma
California’s Prop 65 changes
TTB excise tax reform
The Wayfair Supreme Court Ruling and how it could impact your business
End-of-year reporting
2018 year in review
The all-new Wine Institute Compliance Rules Portal

and more!

The speakers we’re proud to stand alongside at our first event in Lodi event are:

Steve Gross, Vice President of State Compliance, Wine Institute
Annie Bones, State Compliance Specialist, Wine Institute
Ian Blue, Membership Relations Director, Wine Institute
Jerry Van Sickle, District Sales Manager, FedEx
Kristin Carlton, Vice President of Compliance, Compli

Registration is open for three of the five events. Stay tuned for when we announce the registration for the final two workshops. Space is limited, so purchase tickets early.
